Our Faculty

Mats Loo

Formerly an executive chef in several cruise ships (including MS Endeavour and MS Polaris) and having worked at Michelin star restaurants around the world, he now shares his knowledge and passion with future culinary artists at First Gourmet Academy.

Ziggy Segunial

Being in the culinary profession for almost 20 years, he is an expert in Asian cuisines and wellness cooking. He used to be with Philippine Airlines' Inflight Catering and is currently one of our main instructors for the diploma program and short courses.

Jojo Bolivar

Jojo Bolivar, a graduate of BS Hotel and Restaurant Management, decided to pursue his love for the culinary arts and decided that First Gourmet Academy was the right school for him. After graduating, he was able to work immediately as a Cook and Food & Beverage Supervisor in a local hotel.

Thomas Paul

He has been in the field of Culinary Arts for 40 years which makes him probably the most experienced instructor in The Philippines. He started as a Commis de cuisine at Hotel Intercontinental in Frankfurt.

Francis Marcaida

6 years of experience in the Culinary Field, he then took another leap for his career into teaching. He's now capable of leading and currently one of the many Internationally experienced Instructors at First Gourmet Academy.
